This year’s conference addresses one of the most pressing issues facing information technology: Security. Our CIO’s spoke, and we listened. Earlier this year we asked the CIO’s in this area to let us know what issues are important to their organization. Their response clearly indicated that information security is, and will remain, at the top of the list of priorities.
Mitigating risks associated with the new threats we face in information technology continues to grow in complexity. The standard application of anti-virus, firewall, and detection systems alone will no longer suffice as a response. This year’s summit will introduce you to the people and organizations that go beyond, and stay on top of the newest technologies and threats in order to reduce exposure.
Additionally, the GRTC is proud to host a resource center that will be staffed with representatives from Institute for Defense and Homeland Security, the US Department of Homeland Security (Private Sector Office), and Virginia’s Center for Innovative Technology. The center will be designed for one-on-one counseling sessions for businesses seeking opportunities in security related markets.
