We have a very special “Good Morning Technology” breakfast planed for Friday, March 2nd.   Come help us kick-off of the 8th Annual Richmond Regional FIRST Robotics Competition at VCU’s Siegel Center.  The breakfast will be held in the Siegel Center.  Join us as we overlook the competition floor and the pits where 60 high school teams will be preparing to do battle.

Scheduled for May 9, 2007, the Tech Council’s Awards Gala is the area’s premier event honoring outstanding individuals, corporate and community leaders, entrepreneurs and pioneers in the Greater Richmond region.

Last year’s event, presented by the Greater Richmond Technology Council and Capital One, attracted approximately 600 key technology leaders from all over the region.  This year’s event will celebrate the best and brightest stars in the area and recognize their outstanding achievements to the vital growth of technology in Central Virginia.

Thirty five finalists will be chosen from seven awards.  The Awards categories include Leadership, IT Builders, Educator, Emerging Company, Technology Innovation, Community Support and Technology SkillBuilder

Mid-Session Legislative Reception - Huge Success


 

 

 

 

 

The 2007 VTA Legislative Reception was held on January 24th at the State Library on Broad Street.  The VTA Legislative Reception provides statewide technology business leaders with an opportunity to meet and talk with decision makers from the Legislative and Executive branches of our state government.  This year, attendees included the Governor, Attorney General, Science and Technology related Committee Chairs, Cabinet Secretaries, Agency Heads, and dozens of Delegates, Senators, and government officials. More than 300 statewide business leaders joined us for this unique opportunity.
