Get Off the Road!! – Solutions to several of Virginia’s most pressing issues have a common ingredient… “Telework”.  Whether you are trying to find new sources of highly skilled employees, or searching for ways to reduce traffic congestion, or scrambling to meet the high cost of gasoline, or working to bring jobs to all areas of the Commonwealth, telework is part of the answer.

The Virginia General Assembly has set a goal of shifting a significant number of jobs into alternative work schedules by 2010, which will involve expanded use of telework.  Governor Kaine has created the Office of Telework Promotion and Broadband Assistance to encourage and promote telework activities for public and private employers.  Karen Jackson, Director of this new office will be our speaker.

The State Library provides one of the most elegant and unique reception venues in Richmond.
