Financial management has been on everyone's minds lately. At work companies are tightening budgets and cutting costs to increase the bottom line and to save jobs. Personal budgets are under scrutiny as well. Are we doing all we can with regard to savings, retirement accounts and kids' college funds? How can we best prepare for tomorrow and future milestones? And every day we hear forecasts indicating that the economy is getting better and getting worse.
This fall's Women in Technology series will focus on personal and professional financial management. We will open in September with a discussion on the business side of financial management and planning with perspectives from both the corporate and nonprofit sector. In October, a panel of speakers will address personal finances. In November, we will hear on overview of the economic outlook.
