Technology transfer is the process by which existing knowledge, facilities or capabilities, developed under publicly funded research and development programs or institutions, are commercialized to fulfill public and private needs. Technology transfer includes a range of formal and informal agreements between technology developers and technology seekers. In addition, this process involves the transfer of knowledge and technical know-how as well as physical devices and equipment. The Council's Technology Transfer Committee explores the feasibility ofcreating partnerships between our members and the local universities and research facilities.
