Robert L. Sommerville, CPA, is a principal in the Business Assurance & Advisory Services practice of Keiter, Stephens, Hurst, Gary & Shreaves, P.C., a Richmond-based accounting, tax and consulting firm. He works principally with technology and other privately-held companies, helping to implement growth plans, develop systems and processes, and providing general business consulting, accounting and audit services. He previously spent over 20 years with a Big 4 accounting firm, participating in several initial public offerings, and also spent two years in their mergers and acquisitions group.
He is a former Director and past Chairman of the Greater Richmond
Technology Council, having served on the Board of the Council and its
predecessor since 1990 to 2003, and as Director Emeritus thereafter. He
also serves on the Board of Directors of Covenant Woods, a
not-for-profit retirement community, and is a past Treasurer and
Director of School of The Richmond Ballet.
